1927-1974

Helen was born in the Canongate district of Edinburgh on the 4th of March, 1927 to John and Catherine (Kate). She grew up in Edinburgh with her five brothers and sisters, Jim, John, Stephen, Dina and Mary. On the third of August 1951 Helen married Eddie Watson at Broughton Place Church in Edinburgh. They remained happily married until Helen's tragically early death. Helen and Eddie had two sons, Derek (1955) and Kenneth (1962).

All the family will always fondly remember Helen who was the organiser of many family events and parties and did much to keep the family in touch with each other over the years. Helen particularly enjoyed family life, holidays and holiday weekends with Eddie and the boys, and social occasions with family members.
